Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is also referred to as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins within the US and Mexico, is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She is an ESPN anchor for news and also hosts SportsNation occasionally. She joined ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been since when she was nine years old. Her ability in this area helped her to get her first job at Univision, Miami. She could work alongside national producers on shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. The CBS affiliate in St. Petersburg hired her following this to become an sports reporter. Then, in 2009 the reporter relocated into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. In 2009, she moved to Rio Grande Valley in Texas, where she became a reporter for KNVO 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Also, she would fill in on occasion as a weather and sports anchor. Later, she was anchor and reporter on Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was assigned more responsibility. She covered all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. Apart from that she also co-hosted and produced Univision 23's Accion Deportiva Extra local sports show. The show was promoted to be anchor of the sports segment on Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The same role she also worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) and Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports program). Antonietta Collin's parents are originally from Veracruz Mexico. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born on the 22nd of November the 22nd of November, 1985. She is older than her sister. Her family left in 1992 Mexico and relocated to Miami. Her parents divorced soon after in 1995. Her mother got married to an architect from the naval profession named Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in the year 2006. The holiday in the summer that she lived with her younger sister living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured the job. Antonietta was a senior in high school but she knew exactly what career path she wanted. When she was deciding whether Mount Union was right for her, Antonietta decided to go visit the university. In the end, she loved the school and the university offered the degree she was searching for. Following the completion of her high school education, she attended the University to pursue media studies. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the director for WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a part. Mark Bergmann inspired her to believe in herself and his passion for journalism deeply affected her. She in turn, strived to meet his expectations and never let him down.
